With each piece I tried to explore and master different construction techniques in order to create fun, imaginative pieces.
Ceramic Lamps (2023)
This octopus and Sea slug are two pieces created to be lamps. With each of these pieces I wanted to create a unconventional sculpture that would function more as an artwork than a traditional lamp.
Aquatic Vase (2023)
With this vessel I wanted to challenge myself with a complex form that required subtractive construction techniques to create. For this piece there is an internal cylindrical structure that can be seen through the holes of each design. Each face has a different design with central figures that are inspired by sharks and stingrays.
